Well, the 118 th National Convention has ended. Three delegates represented district I, myself, Todd Dunn and Jamie Rice. An overall total of twenty-six delegates from the other districts across the state. We listened to a lot of speakers including Louie Dejoy the CEO of the United State’s Postal Service who updated us on the 10-year plan that he has for us. But the focus was our business. It was a privilege to take part in electing the officers to the National board with fresh faces, John Adams and Nicky Phillips taking over as Director of Labor relations and Director of steward operations, respectively. We worked on approximately 400 resolutions/constitutions-changes. I hope you will consider getting involved with your Union. It belongs to all of us.
Remember, the first three letters in
Union is U N I.
Stay safe,
President Dist I
Teresa Taylor-Hatfield

District I held their annual meeting in Louisa on March 8. It was wonderful to have 4 members attend their first meeting.

Those attending the meeting received a lot of information from the Board members present including the upcoming state convention, flood relief project, scholarships, the Oak Leaf Society and insurance.

Officers elected for the 2025-2026 year were Teresa Taylor Hatfield, President; Pam Taylor, Vice-President; and Todd Dunn, Secretary-Treasurer. Stacy Frazier from Louisa was selected Outstanding Member.

Following the business session, Area Steward Johnathan King answered questions.

Hopefully all those elected delegates to the state convention will be able to attend.
